PROJECT DETAILS

Location: Alexandria, MN

ORIGINAL

Completed: June 1997

Cost: $4.3 Million

Square Feet: 55,875

ADDITION

Completed: January 2006

Cost: $2.8 Million

Square Feet: 12,800

The new Alexandria Clinic was designed for future growth. Additions will be constructed based on the original clinic layout as needed.  This regional center desired a professional, business image for its public domains; but a more secure, caring environment for its medical zones.  A clearly defined path from the parking area into the lobby of the building gets patients to their appointments on time.  With on-site pharmacy, optical shop and physical therapy leased out to independent contractors, the clinic is offering its patients the most complete care available in one convenient location.  A beautiful site plus consideration for the airport clearance zone impacted the site layout and building design.

Addition

The construction of the Alexandria Clinic was a medical, financial, and architectural success. Patient response warranted additional facilities.  The 2004 expansion of the clinic included space for an expanded imaging department (including MRI, CT, NUC/MED, DEXA and ultrasound), a cardiac care clinic, and additional medical offices and meeting rooms.

The addition was designed to complement the existing medical systems, internal traffic movement and building architecture style.  the new space is fully utilized.  The project was completed within budget and schedule.
